Starting January 12th 2018, UforChange will offer a series of interactive drop-in DJ workshops and DJ nights at The Bentway. The workshops will engage community members and provide four UforChange DJ’s the opportunity to strengthen their teaching skills.
Through the DJ workshops community members will learn about the foundations of DJing by using industry controllers with the support of UforChange alumni. The workshops will be led by UforChange DJ alumni who are currently freelancing in Toronto and are seeking to expand their careers as well as engage in community activities by teaching others their craft.
After the completion of the workshops, the UforChange DJs will continue to animate The Bentway with sounds selected based on their genres of specialty as well as distinct music themes. Some of our bi-weekly music themes include: Straight Outta Toronto, Back to the 80’s, Welcome to Jamrock!, Get Jiggy Wit it and Friday Night Fever.
We would like to invite community members to come learn how to DJ or to simply enjoy our music selection and The Bentway skate trail!
