Announcement: UforChange – Grant Awarded for 2023

We’re pleased to announce that UforChange has been awarded with the Ontario Trillium Foundation grant this year. UforChange specializes in providing creative art programs to isolated youth who face a variety of barriers in society. Our programs aim to empower and uplift our young people between the ages of 16 – 29 by providing them with the tools and resources they need to develop their artistic and technical skills.

Recently, the organization faced immense challenges due to the ongoing pandemic. With limited funding and rising operation costs, it was difficult to provide the necessary support to troubled youth who needed it the most. The pandemic also forced the organization to move its programs online, which required additional training and resources. Despite these challenges, the organization remained steadfast in its commitment to helping young people develop their potential and overcome obstacles.

UforChange  has been awarded with a generous $90,000 Capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation over 12 months. The grant will be used to purchase equipment and technology that will help the organization expand its programs and reach even more young people. With this funding, the organization will be able to offer more support to the youth joining our DJ arts, fashion illustration, fashion design, and photography programs. These programs will not only provide youth with practical skills, but they will also offer a sense of community, creativity, and inspiration.

The grant from the foundation will help us to continue its mission of providing meaningful and impactful programs to youth. UforChange is grateful for the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s support and recognizes the importance of its role in helping to fulfill the needs of the community.
