About:
Introduction to Graphic Design is a 2-week workshop that’s open to all young people looking to learn about design. You will understand the elements into what makes design looks appealing. You will get comfortable learning how to use Adobe Photoshop and learning all the simple tools. By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with your very own poster created by you!
General information:
- Artist Mentor: Josh Layton and Ryan Felix
- Time: 6:00-7:30PM
- Date: Wednesday’s & Thursday’s 16&17 and 23&24 of March
- Location: 563 Dundas Street East, Suite 206
Requirements:
- Open to youth ages 16-29
- Must 80% or 3 / 4 of the classes
- No experience required
- Commitment to the arts!
- If you have a laptop with Adobe Photoshop please bring it, if not, we will provide you with a computer with the program.
About Josh Layton:
Josh specializes in brand messaging, storytelling and the design of compelling visual identities, and campaigns. Since co-founding Loop, he has conceived and completed creative designs and strategies for organizations and companies involved in architecture to social enterprises. Tied to his own passions for social good, the projects he enjoys the most are those where powerful design and imagery inspire and motivate individuals to take action for positive change.

Ryan is a talented web designer with keen intuition and insight in the development of projects. He keeps a critical eye to the latest trends and innovations in design and technology to help him build beautiful and seamless websites. Ryan is well read and practiced in project management and business operations, having honed his skills after many years of crafting websites and completing graphic design projects with clients.
