INTRODUCTION TO USER EXPERIENCE

The focus of this course is to introduce participants to User Experience (UX) Design

User experience (UX) designers focus on the interaction that users have with products, like websites, apps, and physical objects. They make those everyday interactions useful, enjoyable, and accessible.

We’re still mapping out the program, but this program will teach you the fundamentals of UX.

Potential subjects to be covered:

-General design process and collaborating with others
-Interaction design principles
-Integrating research into the process
-Designing for accessibility and inclusion
-Common UX artefacts
-Visual design
-Creating a portfolio, resume or interview help

Program will be held over Zoom.

This program is open to young people 16-29 living in Toronto and the GTA who come from disadvantaged, marginalized and under served communities. The program is free.

Required equipment: laptop or computer and WiFi. Figma software will be used, free. Cameras must be kept ON during program.
