The Talk 2.0 – Transparency of Success

The Talk 2.0 – Transparency of Success

Dear Friend of UforChange,

We are so pleased to serve as Co-Chairs for THE TALK 2.0: Transparency for Success.  Last year was our inaugural year as Co-Founders and Co-Chairs of THE TALK series.   We couldn’t bypass the opportunity of doing it again this year; generating fun along with funds for UforChange.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, to benefit UforChange, we will be holding a night of creative discussion; The Talk 2.0   In an effort to raise funds for UforChange as well as help the newcomers of the creative scene connect with established professionals. We will be inspired by some of the industry’s well known professionals: Barry Avrich, filmmaker and author; Sabrina Maddeaux, National Magazine award-winning writer and editor; Christopher Paunil, fashion designer; and Amanda Parris, CBC columnist  and television host for a discussion following their creative aspirations and becoming successful in their careers. The event will be hosted by Nicole Servinis from Breakfast Television and the panel will be moderated by Sylvia Mantella, Chief Marketing Officer of Mantella Corporation. The discussions will be riveting and knowledge shared will be vast.

As Co-Chairs, we believe The Talk events are about inspiring and building bridges to support and inspire the creative young people at UforChange. The attending youth can learn from the brightest and best as they share their stories of struggle to success and ultimately how they found their success in their careers. This is in line with the UforChange mission.

UforChange is an non-government funded charity that provides vulnerable young people, ages 16-29, from across  the Greater Toronto Area, with a combination of creative, practical and soft skills that will help them develop their careers in a safe, supportive and collaborative environment. Last year, we raised $77,000 which helped continue the delivery of the  four-month and eight-month Core Arts programs taught by industry professionals that focus on the foundations of DJing, Fashion Design, Photography along with supporting the Women in Technology program in Graphic Design and Web Development. The organization prides itself on youth achieving greater skills outside the classroom while building a strong network in the entertainment industry as they connect with alumni, volunteer in the studio, and help plan events.

We ask for your support  to reach this year’s $100,000 funder raising goal.  Youth of today need it!
