UforChange’s Vivacity is back! It’s the end of our 14th cycle and our wonderful students are graduating from their programs and are taking the next steps in their journey.
Join us as we celebrate Vivacity May Day! In keeping with the season, we’ve created a floral fantasy world for our students to show off their work and enjoy some light refreshments, games and meet people in their field. Be a part of the celebration at Tartu College on Thursday, May 30, from 7-10 pm!
What is Vivacity?
Vivacity is UforChange’s annual multimedia showcase where our fashion, DJ arts and photography students, have the opportunity to show their artistic skills that they’ve acquired during their 8-month program cycle. Vivacity serves not only as a skill-building project for the youth as they partake in its organization, but also a networking opportunity with influences, bloggers, YouTubers, entrepreneurs and industry connections who will be in attendance. Most importantly, this is where many of our young people start their business by selling their artworking at this interactive gallery setting.
UforChange provides young people, ages 16-29, from all over the Greater Toronto Area, with a combination of creative, practical and soft skills that will help them develop their careers in a safe, supportive and collaborative environment. We achieve this through our 8-month Core Arts program that focuses on the foundations of DJ Arts, Fashion Design, and Photography. The program is taught by industry professionals who provide our Youth with opportunities to apply their skills outside the classroom, access to industry events and who also support the youth through their personal challenges. During the program the youth are able to build a strong network as they connect with alumni, volunteer in the studio and help plan events.
UforChange provides you with the opportunity to nurture your creative passions through a series of hands-on arts workshops led by a team of talented arts mentors. Actors, playwrights, filmmakers, photographers, fashion designers and DJs—all professionals in their field with real-world experience, ready to teach and share some of their experiences with you.
We will also help you get to the next level in your life: we will work with you to support your ultimate goals by providing educational and career mapping. You can also receive one-on-one assistance applying to higher education or receive an internship opportunity.
